I think I may have cracked the code here. Have you noticed whenever you sit down to do the thing that brings you joy because you have a moment of spare time to work on it and your hit with ‘oh by the way there is one more thing that needs to get done’. And it causes you to associate that project with that negative emotion. Over time it wears you down to the point that you just stop doing it.
Then your body becomes so keyed to expect interruptions in those moments you have. You become resentful towards them because they know that regardless of how much you have done they insist on telling you that you are not allowed to have those moments to yourself.
